Lovely ambiance. The owner, Angelo, treats you like family. Food is 5 star. Staff, from the bar to the table service is 5 star. Wonderful and interesting specials. My favorite restaurant.

This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been in Westport. Amazing food, great service and helpful tips from staff...Pictures are the pumpkin ravioli which are just... Amazing ! And grilled mushrooms (funghi trefolati) which are delicious as well.Waiters and waitresses are very helpful, they take time to listen to your favorite products and advise accordingly!Special note for my favorite waitress and for Angelo, who are both great 😍!

We went there for dinner. It is nice small cozy space but slow service and very bland/flavorless food. Very expensive for quality of food. There are better restaurants around.

Certainly in the top 5 restaurants in Fairfield county..We have Match, Via Sforza, The Lime, Da Pietro, Kazu etc etc.

The food tastes authentic and the service was great! Loved every item on the menu we ordered. The ambience was an added bonus.

Diversified menu including well prepared and beautifully plated Italian classics, some of which are hard to find elsewhere. Service is attentive without being annoying. Make sure you save room for dessert - theirs are sinfully delicious.

Simply said, Angelo is a Gentlemen and the best host you could want. When you go into the restaurant, you truly feel like you are walking into Angelo's home. Besides being such a gracious host, the ambience is intimate, the food is very well done...classic yet creative and it is consistent in it's overall service. I truly enjoy eating here and I think you will as well.

The food is so amazing at Pane e Bene. Coming from an Italian, if you want the best Italian food around then Pane e Bene is the place.

Pane e Bene is owned and managed (and even some cooking) by Angelo Capponi who knows great food. He and his service team are wonderful hosts and always happy to make requested changes. The food is consistently top shelf. In fact, we went to Pane e Bene the night after returning home from three weeks in Italy; because it was the closest experience to eating through Italy. The restaurant also sports a good wine list, great specials every night, and a broad menu. This is a place not to be missed if you're in Fairfield county.

Had really high hopes for Pane e Bene, but unfortunately our pick up meal was terribly bland and underwhelming. We ordered escargot, Cornish hen, beet salad, linguini vongole, and tiramisu (our bruschetta was forgotten). The Cornish hen was just four wings with a side of unseason boiled broccoli and potatoes. Our salad was just a huge pile of leaves with a few almost raw beets, and both sea food dishes were unmemorable. I think their expansive menu is one of the pitfalls here. Jack of all trades, master of none. The tiramisu is what kept this review from being one star. Happy we finished dinner on a high note, as the tiramisu was quite tasty, but we sadly will not be returning.
